Business Email Outlook Express/Outlook 2000 Setup

POP Setup

Configuring POP3 for Outlook Express and 2000 (recommended)

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Choose Accounts.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Choose Mail.
  5. Type your Display Name (Usually First and Last name) and click Next.
  6. Type the Email Address assigned to your user name and click Next.
  7. Verify that POP3 is selected from the drop-down menu.
  8. For Incoming mail server, type pop.easystreetemail.com.
  9. For Outgoing mail server, type smtp.easystreetemail.com.
  10. Click Next.
  11. For Account name, enter your full email address ( username@domain.com).
  12. Type your Password (same one used to login to the web application).
  13. Verify that Remember Password is checked and click Next.
  14. Click the Finish button.
  15. Double-click on the EasyStreet account under either the All tab or the Mail tab.
  16. Click the Servers tab.
  17. Check the box for My server requires authentication.
  18. Click the Advanced tab.
  19. Check the box for Leave a copy of message on server if you want to access your email from the web application as well.
  20. Click the Apply button, then the OK button, and then Close.

Configuring POP3 for Outlook Express and 2000 w/SSL

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Choose Accounts.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Add your Display Name. Enter the name you want others to see in the From: field when you send E-mail, then click Next.
  5. Enter your E-mail address, then click Next.
  6. Do not change the value beside “My incoming mail server is a”. It should remain set to POP3.
  7. Input the POP3 server as pop.bluetie.com into the Incoming mail server field.
  8. Input the SMTP server as smtp.bluetie.com into the Outgoing mail server field. Click Next.
  9. For Account name, enter your full email address ( username@domain.com).
  10. Enter your EasyStreet account password and click Next.
  11. Note: You can set Outlook Express to remember your password if you don’t want to type it in every time you check for new messages.
  12. Click Finish.
  13. Click the Mail tab, the Mail Accounts window appears.
  14. Click the account you just created, then click the Properties button.
  15. Click the Servers tab.
  16. Check the box beside My server requires authentication, then click the Settings button.
  17. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server and click OK.
  18. Click on the Advanced tab.
  19. Check the box, This server requires a secure connection (SSL) for both the Incoming (POP) and Outgoing (SMTP) mail servers.
  20. Click OK.
  21. Click Apply, then OK to close the properties window.
  22. Click OK to exit the Internet Accounts window. Your E-mail set-up is complete.

IMAP Setup

Configuring Outlook Express or 2000 for IMAP service

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Choose Accounts.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Choose Mail.
  5. Type your Display Name (Usually First and Last name) and click Next.
  6. Type the Email Address assigned to your user name and click Next.
  7. Verify that IMAP is selected from the drop-down menu.
  8. For Incoming mail server, type imap.easystreetemail.com.
  9. For Outgoing mail server, type smtp.easystreetemail.com.
  10. Click Next.
  11. For Account name, enter your full email address ( username@domain.com).
  12. Type your Password (same one used to login to the web application).
  13. Verify that Remember Password is checked and click Next.
  14. Click the Finish button.
  15. Double-click on the EasyStreet account under either the All tab or the Mail tab.
  16. Click the Servers tab.
  17. Check the box for My server requires authentication.
  18. Click the Apply button, then the OK button, and then Close.
  19. When prompted with the question Do you want to download folders from the mail server you added?, click Yes.
  20. Click the OK button.

Configuring Outlook Express or 2000 w/SSL for IMAP service

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Choose Accounts.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Add your Display Name. Enter the name you want others to see in the From: field when you send E-mail, then click Next.
  5. Enter your E-mail address, then click Next.
  6. Change the value beside “My incoming mail server is a”. to IMAP.
  7. Input the IMAP server imap.bluetie.com into the Incoming mail server field.
  8. Input the SMTP server smtp.bluetie.com into the Outgoing mail server field. Click Next.
  9. For Account name, enter your full email address ( username@domain.com).
  10. Enter your EasyStreet account password and click Next.
  11. Note: You can set Outlook Express to remember your password if you don’t want to type it in every time you check for new messages.
  12. Click Finish.
