Changing your password

All of our Unix hosting packages offer the ability for customers to change their own password. To do so::

1. Log in to your WebSiteOS control panel

2. Click on the Security link in your upper left navigation panel.

   

3. Depending on the type of account package you have, you might see multiple options on your lower left navigation panel. Click on the Change Password link.

   

4. You'll be taken to the Change Password control panel, which looks like this:

   

5. Enter your current password in Enter your Current Password box. Enter your new password in the box labeled Enter your New Password and again in the Confirm new password box.

   We recommend a password that contains a mixture of letters and numbers. Passwords over seven characters long are more secure. Please make a note of your password for your records.

6. Click Next at the bottom. If the password change was successful, you will get a message saying:

   

7. Note: clicking on the logout link will log you out.

If you don't remember your current password

Go to the WebSiteOS login page and click on the Forgot your password? link. We can email it to the email address we have on file for you.
