Database Manager |
Database Manager is available on all Unix Value and higher hosting packages. Our legacy non-profit hosting package is the equivalent of a Lite hosting package, which does not come with database support. If you are not sure what type of hosting package you have, contact our 24/7 support staff at 503-968-3279 and we can look up details about your package type.
Database Manager allows you to add up to a maximum of two databases for your site. Each database may contain as many tables as you need, up to the limit allowed by MySQL or practical limits imposed by performance.
If you need more than two databases, each database beyond the second database must be created manually by an EasyStreet engineer. Adding a database takes a minimum of 24 hours and incurs a setup fee of $99 per each additional database. Request an additional database by contacting your account manager at 503-646-8400 during business hours to place an order. Once more than two databases have been enabled for your site, Database Manager will not work to manage your databases. You must use an alternative method of managing your databases such as command line mysql or phpMyAdmin. See managing your MySQL databases for more information.
The Database Manager application will only work reliably under recent versions of Internet Explorer web browser for PC users and Safari web browser for Mac OS X users. If you are using a different browser, please switch to one of the supported ones now.
Login to your WebSiteOS control panel.
Click on the Website Management link on the upper left navigation bar

Select Database Manager by clicking on that link in the lower left navigation bar:

Since this is the first time you are using your MySQL account, Database Manager will prompt you to set a MySQL password for your account. We recommend chosing a password that is between 7 and 12 characters long:

You will then be taken to the normal login screen where you must select your username from the pulldown menu on the left, by clicking on it once, and type your new password in the box at the right:

You are now logged in. Proceed to using Database Manager instructions.
