Bandwidth and Disk Usage

Transfer Thresholds and Disk Space Limitations: The Size of Things

Your EasyStreet Web Hosting account comes with quotas for disk space and data transfer. The size of that space is determined by your account type. See a full list of account packages for details. If you exceed the allotted disk space and data transfer rate, there is a charge per megabyte that you will incur.

In addition to charges for using more disk space than allotted to your account type, all of our hosting accounts have limits on disk space. If you go over your alotted space, you will be charged overage fees.

1. If you'd like to find out your current disk usage or bandwidth usage, log in to your site management control panel, WebSiteOS. When you first login, the lower left navigation panel will have a brief summary of your usage statistics, which looks like this.

   

2. This gives you a sense for how much of your alotted disk space and bandwidth you are using. For more detailed information about disk usage click on the statistics folder in upper left navigation bar.

   

3. The bottom section of your left navigation bar will change to show the following:
   

4. Clicking on Disk Usage will launch the Disk Usage control panel, which shows you to a listing of all your directories and sub-directories, with the exact size of each, so you can see which directories are taking up the most space.

   

   To get a rough estimate in MB you can divide by 1,000. In the example above, for example, both the /public and the /private folders have close to 5MB of content in them.
