Am I actually getting this service through iPass?
No, iPass provides the service to EasyStreet, and as an EasyStreet dial up user, you can use the iPassConnect™ software, and use the service. What is the iPass Global Network?
The iPass Global Network provides easy dial-up access to the Internet from more than 150 countries around the world. iPass enables this service by using the networks of top-tier network access providers (dial-up providers and ISPs), and a unique third-party authentication and billing system. With one service, individual and corporate users can access email, the web and corporate data from anywhere in the world with a local telephone call, gaining significant cost savings over solutions requiring internal modem banks and long-distance or toll-free connection charges.

iPass services help mobile professionals reliably and securely connect to the Internet with a local call in over 150 countries. Ideal for frequent travelers and businesses with mobile workers, it connects you to the Internet, email, and mission critical information.


How much does it cost?
With EasyStreet's iPass roaming service, you're only charged when you use it. Charges range from $3.74/hour (in the US) to $21/hour. The iPassConnect Client contains pricing information so you'll know the exact charge for each access number before you use it. Charges for this service are computed per minute that you are connected, tallied on a monthly basis and are added automatically to your credit card bill or invoice.


Where can I connect from?
EasyStreet's global Internet roaming service, enabled by iPass, extends to more than 150 countries. In many major cities there are several network providers, improving your service availability with multiple access points and redundant networks.


How does it work?
You make a local call to an iPass partner using the iPassConnect client, and the client uses custom software to log you onto the network and keep track of your usage.
To use iPass, you need an account with EasyStreet and the current iPassConnect Client . When you travel, you use the iPass client to dial a local number and log in with the your dial-up account username and password. In effect, you are still logging onto the Internet via EasyStreet, even though you are dialing in through a different provider. You can continue to use your regular web browser, email program or newsgroup software.
