Frame Relay Router > Check Connectivity
Please see this page regarding assumptions made about this router.
OBJECTIVE:
The screens below will show you how to check the router's connectivity status
over the frame relay circuit.
NOTE:
If the "Ready" light on the front of the router
does not turn solid green within 5 minutes of the router being turned on and
having the frame line plugged in to the LINE 1 port on the back of the router,
then there is something wrong with the frame circuit. Call your telephone
company for troubleshooting. The "Ready"
light will turn solid green if it sees frame relay signals on the circuit,
regardless of the router being configured or not.

01. From the MAIN MENU highlight "Statistics & Logs..." and hit the ENTER key.

02. Select "WAN Event History..." and hit the ENTER key.

03. The screen above is what the status of the router looks like out of the box, unconfigured and unplugged from the frame circuit. The most recent entry is at the top of the page.

04. The screen above is what the status of the router looks like out of the box, unconfigured but the frame line is plugged in to the LINE 1 port on the back of the router. The most recent entry is at the top of the page.

05. The screen above is what the status of the router looks like out of the box, configured and the frame line is plugged in to the LINE 1 port on the back of the router. The most recent entry is at the top of the page.
