FTP via Filezilla

Using Filezilla to upload your web site is easy.

When you open Filezilla and connect, you'll see a window like the one below.

The top Status window with the scrolling lines in colored text is simply a log of the activity going on in your FTP session.

On the left is the Local Site window which displays your computer folders. The highlighted folder is your active folder.

Below that is the Filename window which shows the individual files inside the active folder.

On the right side is the Remote Site window which represents the site you are connected to, and the folders and files in it.

Finally, the wide window at the bottom shows files you have queued up for processing.

  1. Open the program.
  2. Enter users.easystreet.com in the Address box, enter your ftp username and password where indicated, and click on Quickconnect. The Status window will show your connection progress.

  3. Open the WWW folder in the Remote Site window on the right, and you are at your site.

  4. Just double click your HTML files in the Local Site / filename windows, and Filezilla will queue them up for uploading, or just Drag and Drop them into the appropriate location in the Remote Site window.

  5. To check your upload, just open a browser, enter users.easystreet.com/~username in the address window and hit Enter. You should see your html files on screen.
