Apple OS X Mail (Tiger) for SMTPAUTH

It's a good idea to have your EasyStreet Account Information handy when you follow these setup instructions.

• New account with the Setup Assistant.
• Edit Existing Account and Advanced Options.
• Advanced Options and Mailbox Behaviors.

• New account with the Setup Assistant.

• Open Mail. (The postage stamp icon with a bird).     

• If Mail has not run before, you may see the Setup Assistant, click continue to begin setup.

• Choose POP in the account type drop down.

  Easystreet or any other useful description.
   
                                   
  Full Name
  Enter your display name.
     
                                   
  E-mail Address
  Enter your e-mail address.
     

• Click continue...

• Enter the Incoming mail server, pop.easystreet.com, the username and password EasyStreet provided to you.

• If you recieve the following error just go ahead and click continue...

• Choose Password in the authentication drop down. Uncheck SSL, if enabled.

• Click continue...

• Enter the Outgoing mail server; smtpauth.easystreet.com.
  

• Check Use Authentication and enter your username and password.

• Click Continue...

• Notice that SSL for the Outgoing Server is ON, this is incorrect.

• Click Continue...

• Click Done... Almost finished...

• This brings you to the Accounts Window.

• Click the Server Settings button and uncheck "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)".

• Click Ok...

• If SSL has been enabled on the incoming server, Click the Advanced tab and uncheck "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)".

• Close the window, save the changes, and you're done!

• Edit an Existing Account.

• Open Mail and go to Mail > Preferences.  

• Use the following settings:

Your name, the way you want it to appear on your email.
    
                                    
Incoming Mail Server

Your Email Account/POP Username from your Account Information.
     
                                    
Password
Your Email Account/POP Password from your Account Information.
