Removing mail with Outlook
& Outlook Express

 

Outlook and Outlook Express have very similar screens for most versions, and most platforms.
The XP version of Outlook is somewhat different, and can be found at http://support.easystreet.com/software/outlookxp/overages.htm.
There are some minor variations between versions as to how you reach the shown screens.

When you click on Tools from the main menu, you will see either Services, or Accounts.

  1. Open the Advanced Properties page for your version of Outlook / Outlook Express;
    1. If it says Services, click there.
    2. Choose your Easystreet internet email.
    3. Click Properties.
    4. Click the Advanced tab.


    OR
    1. If it says Accounts, click there.
    2. Click the Mail tab.
    3. Select the Easystreet account.
    4. Choose Properties (or Edit)
    5. Click on the Advanced tab.

    You should now see this, with very few variations;
  2. Under Delivery, uncheck the box marked Leave a copy of messages on the server.
  3. Click Apply, then OK, then Close and then exit the program.
    OR
    With Outlook click Apply, then OK, then Apply and OK again.
  4. Close the program and your new settings should be in effect.
  5. Macintosh applications may have slightly different routes, but are essentially the same.
